Tesla App not connecting

My Tesla App is not connecting to both my Powerwall and my Model S. It has been out since at least yesterday although there was a screen message 'last updated 26 December' That message has just changed to 'Yesterday' My wifi and internet connections are good. I can interrogate the Gateway IP address and my PVOutput is logging real time. TeslaFi shows last nights charge of Model S, but I can't control the car functions by the App. It says I am logged in. Is there a problem with the Tesla site?

Try deleting the Tesla app, turn the phone off, back on, and reinstall the app. There is often cached data that apps don’t clear and I’ve had to do this for other apps.

Be sure to set up things as you want after you logon as notifications and the like will be reset in the app.

Had same problem where my Iphone Tesla App wouldn't connect to my Model S for past 5 days. Cycled phone power, turned WiFi and cellular svc on and off separately, logged off phone app and back on, downloaded app onto new iPad and logged on, made sure "S" was connected to iphone, cellular svc. & WiFi etc. App on iphone and iPad continued to say "SERVER ERROR" Never had this problem in the 6+ years I've had the "S".

Then I (finally) had a "brain storm" and did what I should have done first! I rebooted the Model S (the 2 buttons on the steering wheel) and surprise surprise the apps worked perfectly to connect the "S" to both the iPhone & the iPad.

Good luck to others with a similar problem. I hope this will work as well for you as it did for me. JohnMc
