Is this new? Don’t remember seeing an option for “Service” at the bottom of this page before.

It showed up for some people months ago. I can confirm that it finally showed up for us today. Thanks for noticing and pointing it out!

What version app you have? I'm on 20.49.0 and it's not there (yet)

We've had 20.49.0 for about a week and the app version is 3.10.9 (released October 2020). It looks like they are turning on the functionality gradually and not opening it up for all customers at once.

It just showed up on my app yesterday too. No change in version number.

This does seem like the answer - it is a Tesla/server-side setting whether you see it. It was just enabled for us in the last few days as well - don't know exactly when. As a solar roof + PW customer, it seems like that means it is probably rolling out to everybody now. Hopefully I won't have to use it, but it is nice to have that option available.

I could have used it recently but I did the old fashioned thing and called my project manager (not advisor) directly from the cell phone number he gave me before. :D

Nice. This is much better than hanging on hold for hours. I just used it to request some documentation on my install. We will see if it works better than calling.

For documents, the [email protected] email address is really responsive. They can get you whatever docs you need to fill out forms, etc.

I just notice this as well. No idea when it arrived but I had the 20.49 for weeks now, but after the first mentions of the new version on the board here. Yes, it seems the roll out is gradual to areas.

Come to think of it, just thought it, anyone knows if Windows updates are handled similarly or to the whole web all at once? Perhaps the traffic would be too much?

I realized today that I only see the option on the Powerwall gateway screen, not on the separate solar production screen. Fortunately, it has service categories available for solar issues as well.

Mine doesn't have anything populated for solar production issues, I wonder how long you have to have the system before those options appear. Screenshot_20210304-064310_Tesla.jpg

Those are the same I see, noting - as in your image - that you can only see the choices for one area at a time, and it always defaults back to system communications. (And, they do not customize for solar roof - still says "Damaged Panel(s)".)

I filed an issue/question through the app 4 days ago. Haven't seen any response.

Has anyone else noticed that once you put in a request, and go back into the service option all it shows is your request with a "cancel" button? I guess you get one request at a time.
