Tesla app on Apple Watch

How does Tesla not have an app for the watch yet?? I bought the Watch app for Tesla. It works great. It adds the siri shortcut, open the trunk... because Tesla made no way to open he trunk hands free. (no foot sensor at least?) Maybe instead of colorize my car color in the app, you could work on a watch app? Even Chevy has a watch app they provide.

There is no Tesla app mirror on my Apple Watch. So I have to buy a app to control my car? I didn’t see anything in the App Store.

I use the tessie iOS phone app which also includes an iOS Watch app.

I have the Watch for Tesla app on my Apple Watch and use it occasionally.
Yesterday morning, my phone battery died while I was at the gym. (I know I should always carry the key card).
I didn't try the watch app. I know it can unlock the car - but can I DRIVE the car in that scenario (dead phone and no keycard) ??

Yes, you can use Watch for Tesla app to unlock and drive the Y, provided your Apple Watch has cellular and not just the GPS-only model. I have an Apple Watch 7 with LTE and have used the Watch for Tesla app regularly to drive the Y when I’m without my phone and keycard. Works great, as does “Siri, open trunk” when my hands are full. Remote start enables driving.

Yes STATS works great. I like the Tesla Battery Level showing as a Complication ( Top Left- 49% ) . You can change it to Rated Range, Est. Range, or Battery Level. All the other features like unlock doors and Start Car (drive) work fine with my Apple watch 7 with LTE. Kind-A-CooL

With Stats App you can unlock and start your car using Bluetooth connectivity (or internet). One tap on the watch face

Watchla recently update the app to include the ability to unlock the car via Bluetooth. Cell Service not required.

Same with the Watch for Tesla app. Good for surfers and other people who can't or don't want to take their phone with them everywhere.
