I have not seen many post regarding the new Buena Park location, so just wanted let the community know that it has officially opened. With sales, service, delivery and CPO vehicles on hand, this is the first location of its kind. They have assembled an extraordinary team that I have the pleasure to work with. This is the only location where you can walk in and view certified preowned vehicles and take them for a test drive. If you want to opt for a new one, they have a handful on hand also. But there is always the original method of ordering via custom build and waiting for delivery in a few weeks. Btw, the delivery would also be at this location. The advantage of this type of store for Tesla is the "one stop shop" mentality. You can purchase your vehicle, have it delivered, and serviced all in one place. If you plan on trading in your vehicle, you can do that also at Buena Park. This makes for better service and experience for us. Not a disjointed communication between the different departments. All the key people are all in one location and can walk you through the process. In the past, when I purchased my inventory vehicle, it was done without physically being able to see the car, much less inspect it. Now you can check out the CPO, or if there are inventory vehicles on hand, drive and inspect it. This makes the process so much more convenient and efficient. I have since traded my S85 and purchased a P85. When I traded my S85 in, I had to have a secondary inspection company (Alliance) to appraise the vehicle. With this new location, it can all be done in one location, efficiently and quickly. I wouldn't have to wait for a company to inspect my trade in one day, then wait another few days to see pictures of an inventory car, and schedule an appointment to see the car in person. It can all be done in one fell swoop. Here are some images of the new location. Btw, on the commencement day, they mentioned the Tesla sign is one of the largest in the west coast. (I think they can still make it bigger :tongue The location is ideal, right off of Auto Center Drive on the Interstate 5 right at the 91 freeway interchange. Here are some of the people assembled at this store. They are a quality group that gets the job done. I can definitely see this store becoming Tesla's prime location for southern CA in no time. (Costa Mesa is still a great place, but service is in a separate building/location than sales and delivery). You may know some of these guys. They are great to work with. This'd be a perfect location for a Supercharger off the I-5, bridging San Juan Capistrano and Tejon Ranch. Hopefully it will be a future addition,
Looks nice, thanks for the update. Looks like a Tesla store 2.0. As the brand matures I expect they will continue to adopt what does work from the dealership business model, which is what this looks like to me.
In all honesty, it looks like the Charlotte, NC store, except smaller with a smaller lot - and a much bigger sign. The Charlotte store was a Lincoln-Mercury dealer in it's past usage. Charlotte would be a great location for a CPO center.
Awesome location, although getting back on the freeway is a bit out of the way. We have bought cars from dealership in that area for years. Now my favorite brand is there, all the more reason to drive by. +1 on the super charger comment.
No supercharger at this point, but from what I've heard, it should be in the works for the future. It's prime location for quick trips up and down the 5
Agreed. There are probably plenty of stores that are bigger, but in Southern California, prime real estate like the Buena Park location (in the center of the auto mall; BMW, Mercedes next door and Leaf and Volts nearby) is tough to come by. Plus the cost to run one is ridiculous compared to other parts of the country. - - - Updated - - - I am all for SpC there. They just need to have a few more coffee shop, lounge or dining there. It would be a great place for a meet up also. We can convert some potential Leaf/Volt prospectives to a CPO MS or future Model 3.
I'm sure you are totally correct. Charlotte is next door to Audi and across from Infinity and on the same drag as BMW, Volvo, Lexus and Mercedes - but I need to stop for fear of hijacking the thread. I am just excited that there is a location that looks to be in the business of selling CPOs and possibly new cars or inventory cars in a "brick and mortar" style.
No worries. I know what you mean. I'm excited for this new style also. It has a dealership look, but it definitely doesn't feel it. No pressuring, but just good product specialist educating about their product. - - - Updated - - - Yes, it is sandwiched between Shelley BMW (where I used to get my car serviced) and GMC.
They finally have some thing on the news about it. Tesla opens 'hub' in Buena Park - The Orange County Register
