Well just checked my tracking number. It shows it going to Sparks NV; problem is I don’t live there! Hope she just sent me the wrong tracking number anyone get theirs?
Well if it's FedEx ShitPost, it will go around the world in zig-zags about 5 times before reaching to you.
Yeah, I'm tempted to buy the $660 USD adapter, but it will probably end up costing $1000+ CAD after shipping taxes, etc... Has anyone received theirs yet? And how fast can the adapter charge? 250kW max? Has anyone in BC or Canada bought the CCS1 Adapter? I'm wondering if it will work with BC Hydro or Electrify America chargers.
Reporting I've seen so far says the adapter is limited to 200A (amps). If you compare that to the CHAdeMO adapter which is limited to 100 or 125A, you're looking at twice the speed or a bit less than twice the speed. So figure the max is between 70-90 kW.
Looking at the videos, it appears that 200A (70 kw or so) is the max. There is a video on the prototype showing 125kw. I suspect they are limiting the current on production to 70 kw as not to over heat
I posted a review of the SETEC CCS1 here... Model 3 Rebuilt Title - Supercharging Removal It was only one station and I need to try out some more. Also, since my car is salvage title I'm curious if my charging behavior is different than clean title cars.
