I have my hopes up for that.

I hope retrofit means adding a CCS port right next to the existing Tesla charge port.

No room for a CCS connector. They will add hardware module to the car which will allow the car to charge using that CCS adapter. I believe they already do that in Europe.

Oh I remember now that you need the CCS module to use the adapter.

I didn't think Tesla was going to make this happen in NA. Now I'm intrigued. I wonder what's their ended game? I'm just going to say it. I think CCS may become the standard plug on new superchargers here soon.

Retrofit on a Model 3. Not sure what it would take on an older S or X

I'm going to the SC Friday for a new key and maybe they will have a waiting list or something to notify me the retrofit is available and i can make an appt, instead of having to randomly check this webpage.

Early 2023, and you know how it goes it's first come first serve, then they run out of stock for 6 ****ing months. I'd like to get the retrofit done while I still have disposable income before I retire next year and only have my pension.

I hope that the Gen 4 ECU is or will be available from Tesla SCs. I just scanned Craig’s List nationwide: nothing.

Only available on (maybe) eBay at at least 2x the retail price. Not sure I would risk ordering from Ukraine.

No need to randomly check the webpage. You can randomly check the app instead. Click on service and it is right at the top.

Tried it today at Electrify America 150kWh. 2022 Model Y, delivered a week and a half ago. Got only 72kWh at 20% SoC. The adapter is big and bulky and feels like it will break my charge port. It's good as a backup but I think I'll stick to superchargers. However I do notice that EA is cheaper during peak hours.

Still not available for model 3. Does anyone have a timeline for the chip? The adapter is available know but a chip needs to be installed
