New 4680 batteries can be contracted with established battery makers in China so that should not be a problem.

I think the steel is the biggest consideration for two reasons. It's very specialized steel, and transporting it sounds expensive. The US supplier of that cold rolled steel just opened up a factory near the Giga Texas.
