Average CIO tenure at most large companies is extremely short (for a variety of reasons that folks have done Ph.D. work on investingating the root cause...) but when you have the kind of internal IT controls failure that is alleged to have happened from the incident a couple weeks ago (internal sabotage and data theft) this time-to-CIO-turnover gets dramatically compressed.

Interesting thread over on reddit earlier about internal procedures in the software development area. TL/DR guy loves his job & the team, but gives procedure 3/10 against industry norms - i.e. needs to move out of startup mode.
