In multiple threads there’s been conversation about the benefits and shortfalls (holds, FOMO) of Tesla’s continuous improvement model. Unlike traditional manufacturers you aren’t able to purchase a 2022 model with consistent features, they can change at any time and model year means little.

Well in the saga of Tesla vs traditional manufacturing it looks like Tesla wins again. Ford is/has adopted the continuous update model and will no longer hold Mach-E to stringent model year based changes. Unclear if they will go as far as Tesla (looking at you Ryzen and heated wipers), but it’s clear Ford intends to adopt a change as soon as possible without holding for a new model year.
