TESLA CORSA 24 at Salzburgring, Austria

Tesla Corsa 24 at Salzburgring returned for a second consecutive year.
Tesla enthusiast drivers converged from all over Europe to experience the special Tesla-exclusive track experience event, many driving in from Sweden, Germany, Czech, and other neighboring countries.
We drove our Nürburgring development project Model 3 with our UP x Ohlins TTX 4-Way Race Coilover on the autobahn en route, 10 hours from Germany to arrive in Salzburg on its own power and suspension.

Event racing instructor Martin Rennhofer was given the opportunity to test out the UP Germany development car, already prepared with a fully TUV-registered street-legal tune.
Martin has hours of experience tracking his Model 3 Performance that utilize another brand of suspension kit as well as Tesla’s track package, which includes Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
Shockingly, on this day, just in Martin’s limited time, test driving the UP Nürburgring development Model 3, he was able to shave an astounding 9 seconds from his previous fastest lap time.
This, done only by utilizing the higher-performance UP suspension and brake setup, and despite the German car with basic standard street alignment specifications and large, heavy 20-inch 245 wide street legal tires.

The day was unpredictable in terms of the weather, making the testing and the lap time attack a challenge. The weather, starting with a good dose of rain, thankfully, cleared up with sunlight to allow for a few dry laps as the day progressed.

The atmosphere was relaxing and friendly with the local Salzburgring sheep not bothered at all by the silent racing of Teslas. A group of owners from Sweden, escorted by UP dealer Hamphi, drove multiple days to reach the event. And, after the event also drove the long journey back as well.

Ben from Unplugged Performance hosted the event. This time as part of a very busy tour around the world, having stopped in the Philippines to monitor a customer build of an Unplugged Performance S Plaid. Then, traveling up and down Japan to check in on the old partner, Team Taisan in the Japan EV Racing Series who campaigns their UP x Taisan Model 3. The latter still setting new records every year for EVs on notorious racing venues all up and down Japan.

Just saw your report of this event - I had in fact a lot of fun driving the UP modified Tesla! Breaking performance was really impressive and helped a lot to achieve the laptime improvement. In addition roll and pitch were definitly reduced compared to my Model 3, which is also equipped with aftermarket coilovers.
Thanks for letting me experience the difference!
