Simon-Kutcher & Partners points out what it believes to be “unused potential.” Most Tesla vehicles so far are presented with a killer entry-level price that is just for show. That’s the case for the Model 3 Standard Range, for example. We bet the Model Y will get into the same situation. Why would the Cybertruck...

“When and if the Single Motor RWD starts to be delivered, these more expensive units will already be at the used car market.”

Article fails to note two critical points:
    - TCO for EVs is less than comparable ICE vehicles
    - CTs will be built to million mile specs.

At 250,000 miles, a Tri CT could still sell for $50,000.

Tesla has a tremendous backlog of orders with their current pricing. Why would they reduce pricing and profits to just make their back order longer.

Tesla will begin to fulfill orders and ramp up production. When production reaches demand they will revisit pricing and offering packages.

This marketing genius totally is totally missing the point of why people want these Cybertrucks.

My personal view point. (No insider info. and I drive a 30 year old 27-36 MPG 2 liter 4 cylinder)

When the next business cycle takes the usual downturn (perhaps it is starting??) Tesla can easily offer single motor versions of S/X/3/Y/Cybertruck. Saving people money offering lower prices on less expensive vehicles and keep production moving. AND RoboTaxis are fine with single motors in many parts of the US.

S/X/Roadster may NOT offer single motor and keep the upper luxury part of the market. Richer people don't need to save money and no other car company competes for safety, quickness, operating costs, SuperChargers, Insurance??

    Great Demand Lever, IMHO.

Average price in 2019 paid for a 1/2 ton truck is just over $50k. CT is right there. If anything I think the price could be higher and still be competitive.

Also ford Raptors start at ~$75k and with options the ones on the lot are more like $80-90k, the top trim f150/Silverado/Tundra/Ram are all pushing $100k.

Hopefully the 70,000 dollar Cybertruck will have an interior just as nice as this 70,000 dollar Ram

Driving M3 for over a year, I can say this Ram interior looks 10+ years old (obsolete) and way too busy. All those buttons are so last century.

the CT 2 wheel drive has a lot more features than the base trucks that are being compared to it. Good luck getting a base Raptor
