The average electric car in America costs $250 per mile of range. The Cybertruck (Tri-Motor) costs $140 per mile of range. It's the least expensive EV (by pro-rated range) in America. ZAP EVs Blog
I'm not sure if cost per mile is a particularly meaningful metric. But if it is, I'll take a 50 mile range cybertruck for $140*50=$7000. 50 mi is more than enough for 95% of my driving. And 100% of the driving where I actually need a truck. Heck even at $250 ($12,500), it would be a ridiculously good deal.
Right now the range and the cost are just bullet points on a Powerpoint. Let's wait and see what the real range, and real costs are.
I did see someone who had a video comparing the CyberTruck like that: There is NO WAY the Tri-Motor isn't the best value, except, as was said above if you don't need the number of things per dollar you are getting. Paying $50K for a vehicle is imaginable, paying an additional $20K for the BEST value doesn't make sense when that means I could have gotten a SUPER FANCY motorcycle to put in the bed of the dual-motor cT for that additional cash.
Yeah, not sure how much more share purchasing I will be doing. Very happy with the number I ended up with over the years, and I have been happy with their growth (let me retire). Perhaps the reverse is true, $20K is that fewer shares I need to SELL to get the cT
It's not fair to compare today's vehicles when the CT is still 3 years out. Down vote me if you want but this isn't my first rodeo w/ Tesla's promises. Elon was banking on battery costs going down and density going up when they made those slides.
I came to similar conclusion from a different angle. It’s a steal for it’s cargo capacity & seating. It’s the only vehicle that feels sufficiently different to my M3 to merit a switch.
