Thanks. The Tesla is def good enough but I will miss the wide angel.

I had planned to move my front facing camer to the back. But now not sure.

For free, the Tesla dashcam is awesome. I've had a Blackvue for almost 5 years now and have captured a few accidents of other motorists. I wish the M3 front camera had a wider angle, but then you introduce distortion which Tesla probably wants to avoid for their software. Still, for the intended purpose of a dashcam, this is great!

I can confirm that reading the license plates, V9 dashcam is really good. I watched my drive from home to work 4am in the morning 80 mph on the freeway and I could read every single plates within the 3 lanes in front.

The car in front is hard to read unless I am close, but driving at 75 to 80, I don't usually get too close. But the cars I am passing on the 2 lanes on the side, the license plates are easy to read. I could almost even make out the license plates on the Semi's 2 lanes over. Also I don't think the narrower angle is that narrow. It is just not wide, but you can still see all the lanes on the freeway.

I agree. Compared to my Blackvue, license plates are easier to read with the V9 dashcam, especially at night.
