I have been noticing in the past few months the proliferation of dedicated 80 amp Tesla charging stations at hotels and B&Bs within "road trip" driving distance in the Washington, DC area.
This weekend, we took a road trip to North Fork Mountain Inn in West Virginia that now has an 80 amp Tesla charging station. We were the first to stay with an EV and charge there. Several weeks ago, we did a similar trip to Dewey Beach where the Hyatt recently installed two dedicated Tesla chargers in the garage.
The North Fork Mountain Inn owners tell us that Tesla made available at no charge dedicated Tesla charging stations to all "Select Registry" B&Bs, inns and hotels so there are likely to be some nice destination charging places for enjoyable road trips popping up. To find dedicated 80 amp Tesla charging stations, just filter for only "Model S" charging stations in plugshare.com.
