I live in South Dakota, I read on the Tesla website that "Tesla lending is available for applicants in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, MA, MD, MN, MO, NV, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OR, PA, RI, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA."

What are good third-party options in this case?

If there is a credit union you are eligible to join they will often have very competitive rates.

I used adelfi cu and I think they are nationwide. Rate was good and they seem to be doing a lot of teslas.

Probably a good thing. Rates are typically better at Banks and Credit Unions and, more importantly, you can talk to real people whenever you need too.
