I have heard that Tesla now has a fix for the 75 mph hum. Apparantly something with the motor mount Has any of you had the fix? And how timeconsuming is it to repair
They have been replacing the drive unit and the mount for a lot of people that were affected by the noise (including me). There have been a very small number for whom it was replaced more than once, but it is my understanding that for most people the noise went away. It sure did for me.
I just had my drive unit replaced last week and received the upgraded motor mount with it. When I asked what it was they said they were putting it on when the unit was replaced because if the was a hum or noise etc the entire unit has to come off the car so this way they already have mine off the car so they'd put it on...it only took them one day to replace my unit....put the mount on neons do an alignment.
All good now! They replaced the drive motor, and the car is like new again; back to silent running at ANY speed! Why wait? One day repair...
