Tesla Full Self-Driving Beta V9 Will ‘Blow Your Mind,’ Says Musk

In that case, I'll stick with my original theory, that he is a genetically modified human, sent, via time portal, by a future race of plaintiffs' attorneys to unleash the largest mass tort in history, so the plaintiffs' attorneys will have plenty of lawsuits to file.

It all makes sense now! If they got FSD fully functional, Tesla would be the only one liable for accidents, incur all of the lawsuits and go broke - so no more torts. But, if it were advanced far enough to *almost* be perfect but not far enough to claim autonomy, GMO-future-Elon knows that the drivers won't RTFM, crash a lot while not paying attention when they should, and it would still be a matter of individual liability... thus resulting in an endless source of future torts for the lawyer illuminati of future-times. Brilliant!!!

Honestly they have got to stop listing key features as Beta for extended periods of time. Finish it and finalize it. Issue an update later if you improve it. Leaving features in Beta is so irresponsible bordering on intentional avoidance of liability. Other manufacturers don't do this.

Agreed. If the Therac-25 had a "Beta" sticker attached, it doesn't mean it would have been more OK.

It's a good business decision from a liability pov though. People who use it will have to understand it's not perfect (nothing is, especially for car automation). If it's good, people will use it anyway, so regardless of whether it's "beta" or not doesn't really affect usefulness or practicality.

Yes it is an attempt to avoid liability. Will other manufacturers have FSD as soon as Tesla? No one is going to care once the end product is delivered. Everyone will just be happy, even if it was 10 years in beta.

It will blow your mind with how quickly it will run into the back of a semi, or into a freeway divider, or a tree. This "tech" will be the downfall of Tesla. At some point regulators are going to put the kibosh on this. Just wait for it. Poor sheep...

Elon Musk is Tesla's Liar in Chief.
Lol.
Maybe you lost money shorting Tesla stock, tried to get some repair for free from Tesla and we’re denied, or maybe you’ve just got an overly entitled view on things, who knows why you have the need to punish Tesla.
In any case, angry/emotional feedback like this from a scorned perspective holds little value. :)

No, I think he got screwed over by Tesla as many other people have. It's not just FSD, it's also all of the Tesla owners who're dealing with painfully nerfed Supercharging, the owners dealing with build issues that are "within spec", the people with MCU1 memory issues that are told it's a wear item.

Tesla has changed its approach to developing autonomous vehicles multiple times, requiring changes in hardware and full software re-writes, which should make it clear to everybody that Elon Musk does not have and has never had a clue as to when or even if they can get to a point where they can have a wide FSD release.

Elon Musk is at the very least a bullshitter, and at worst a liar. He's bullshit multiple times. He's my favorite bullshitting asshole billionaire because of what his companies are working on, but I, along with many others learned years ago that you cannot trust what he says.

Convert all stated certainties to uncertainties, not just timelines.
Do not allow your brain to fill in gaps in anything he says.
