Tesla helping sponsor Melbourne Charity Cocktail Event for Kids in Care

Woo Hoo... To support the Bridge of Hope's Bridging the Gap fundraiser next Thursday, 23 Feb, ( www.boh.org.au/event ) Tesla has offered a "Tesla Owner’s Weekend Experience” where the winner can collect a Model S on Friday night and return it Monday morning which we're going to auction off.

So, if you're in Melbourne and haven't bought your ticket yet, please come and join us on the evening... Kids in Care: A Human Rights Travesty is something we all have a responsibility to fix.

Drinks and canapes will be served.

A raffle and silent auction will be held on the night. All proceeds go to The Bridge of Hope Foundation's 'Bridging the Gap' program to assist children and young people in, and leaving, Out of Home Care.

A great cause to support, good on you Tesla AU.

Whilst this is a great cause it is somewhat hyperbolic to say that our "kids in care" situation a human rights travesty. It is however something that state governments around Australia do quite poorly, most children leaving state care find themselves all of a sudden cut off from the support structures they relied on up until the age of 18, whereas the "normal" process would involve a slow move to independence with the safety net of family to fall back on if things don't go to plan.
