Tesla’s Careers page shows the automaker is recruiting people to test its Autopilot self-driving system in cities around the U.S.

A strong candidate will be objectively focused when making judgments, highly organized with a great attention to detail, and a self-starter.”

Concerning. If I'm reading this correctly, it would seem these hired hands (with NDAs, I'm sure!) will be doing what the city beta testers of 8.x have done.
  • Survey the local region and design routes with perspective scenarios for Autopilot testing.
Seems to suggest that user beta testing occurs after these new employees are onboarded and deliver data to provide for "Autopilot testing." (Note that it does not say FSD.) Looks like we won't see much (other than vision-only functions almost at par with what we've had all along) in the coming weeks.

So city driving looks to be a ways away.
