Tesla says it met its 2020 production and delivery goal of 500,000 vehicles.

The company released its Q4 2020 and 2020 annual production and delivery figures, which showed 509,737 vehicles produced and 499,550 delivered on the year.

“Our delivery count should be viewed as slightly conservative, as we only count a car as delivered if it is transferred to the customer and all paperwork is correct,” Tesla said in a release. “Final numbers could vary by up to 0.5% or more.”

The Model 3 and Model Y made up the bulk of Tesla’s sales and deliveries. The two vehicles accounted for 161,650 deliveries in Q4 and 442,511 for the year.

The Model S and Model X continue to make up a smaller percentage of Tesla’s total sales. The company delivered 57,039 units of its flagship vehicles in 2020.

Would not even consider it commendable. You have people waiting 6+ months to have a Model S delivered, and we're talking $85K and on up. The current expectation is now given as "Mar-Apr" which means that the Model S is being pushed back compared to the 3/Y.
