Tesla in Australia

It seems that the regulations for child seats have just changed to allow for Isofix standard seats to be sold here.

Anybody affected by thus may point this out to Tesla. if the Tesla child seats are Isofix rated that May change their compliance.
Not important to me as I have no kids.

Spoken to Stone. Also mentioned to him what our PM has said "We do not have to test and certify everything in Australia which has been tested and certified in another advanced country similar to Australia". This would solve the rear facing seats issue, browser issues etc. It's great to have Stone on board. He understands those rear facing seats would mean a lot to many fathers and mothers who are planning to invest in a car.

I am concerned about what we are going to be paying for our cars with the delay. The AUD has dropped dramatically. I have a price in Aussie dollars excluding taxes on my order, and my car is built and in transit. Is this a locked in price?

Our agreements states "The purchase price of the Vehicle as indicated in your Vehicle Configuration attached to this Agreement is not subject to change". The taxes, etc, are local, so I can't see that changing much if at all.

Picked up 52### at the factory today. Was surprised to find lane departure and speed assist features installed and active. Also had parking sensors. Very happy. DS said cars made last week had new features. Cheers.

Did vin 52### person get parking sensors for free? I'd happily add some other options if it is the case and isn't too late. Still see design Center charging for parking sensors..

Does that mean anything? Lots of the names on the Australian orders spreadsheet seemed to get their VIN within days of the order confirmation.

They take between a few days and about a month. Mine was closer to a month. I suppose it means you are in the queue now (but barely qualifies as a queue..)

Sorry mate. It is meaningless. Doesn't even mean the car has left the USA.

Yes, my message has changed to that as well. No email, no request to arrange finance though. Slight progress so thankful for SOME movement. In the States, doesn't a DS contact you around about when you get this message?

After over seven weeks my car is still listed as "In Production". That would have to be a new record.
