Tesla included in new Takata airbag recall

In the absence of information, why not presume that they all do, and in 2-6 years that, worst case, Tesla will replace the airbag or the airbag component(s) with a new one, which will reset the clock.

This is one of those times that owning a car from a smaller firm is beneficial as you won't be behind millions of other owners in line ahead of you.

The shorts should just focus upon production and the SCTY merriment.

This is a logical fix but I think we would all feel safer if they just ordered a massive preemptive recall like Ferrari just did with their entire 2017 line up.

Tesla (and owners) know when their cars were made.
That becomes a bit more murky when we talk about when the airbags in those cars were made.
Granted Tesla probably wouldn't allow old product to be put in their new cars (hopefully).

This also doesn't take into account regions which experience high humidity (which apparently will accelerate the propellant degradation)

Tesla seems to be the only manufacturer that's been silent on this defect.

Even a small shred of information from the company would be useful, like the model years affected.

Why would the company not release this information?
I'm guessing part of it is that they don't want service centers dealing with this just yet while the air bags aren't dangerous. They don't want customers clamoring to have the bags replaced since the service centers are already extremely busy servicing cars.
