The majority of my issues were sidewall failures (most low speed pothole related) which unfortunately can’t be helped with compressor, plug, or even sealant.

Before I bought my Modern Spare kit, I searched the forums for Tesla flat tires and discovered exactly what you said. Nails and screws in the tread were not common at all. But pothole blowouts the majority. My theory is this has to do with using AP and not paying attention. More cars with those thin sidewalls especially on the larger wheels seem to be the main problem. I have the 19" standard but those too can suffer from a pothole at 75mph. I also carry the pump sealant kit. I like being prepared.
Exactly, low profile has to be stiffer on the sidewall. Which also makes them better for more spirited driving. Without the give of more conventional tires they just blow out; too easily in my opinion. There has to be better designed.
