Tesla is canceling some deliveries which was scheduled at Dec 31 2019 8PM!

All I read was a bunch of socialist doctrines on destination fee ;)

Ha.:D What you read was the work of a bunch of lobbyist for the Car Dealers' association to prevent car companies from selling directly to consumers at lower costs!

The same guys that prevent you in Texas from taking delivery from a Tesla showroom or delivery center.

First, you can't "pickup at the factory".

Actually, the invite explicitly says "Tesla Factory" and gives the 45500 Fremont Blvd address. (the factory showroom)
I kinda' doubt they will send us there, and then redirect everybody over to the DC.

P.S. Sorry for the above (#81) post - rookie mistake trying to figure out how to Insert Quote, and I don't see a way to edit / delete posted msgs

OK my mistake. But you going to pay for the charge even though the car is moved 100 yards from where it was made. Sucks, but thank the car dealer lobbyists.

I ordered on 12/01. got delivery text 12/24, then received a call to schedule delivery on 12/26 for the 27th. Fremont delivery hub called me on 12/27 to tell me my delivery will be canceled and will not receive it by EOY. stated that i might get it in the first quarter of 2020!! did they really put me in back of the line??? why would they cancel my delivery if they clearly stated my car was built on 12/24. I called Santa barbara and explained my situation and all she said was "well that sucks, that means you cant get the rebate" I am so over this delivery process. respect to all of you october and november orders.

no I call my SA (who sucks) and told me there is no compensation for this year. And he is 'more than happy' to help me refund.

I ordered my model 3 before Thanksgiving to ensure I would have delivery prior to the end of the year and was told 2 weeks ago there was a problem and I would now not receive delivery until mid-January.
I asked about being compensated for the lost tax credit and they said sorry, even though the delay was their mistake or issue, I would not be compensated!!!

Anyone else have a similar situation?

did they comp you the airflight? did you ask? They comp'd me about $250 in hotel and car rental costs to drive 5 hours to the delivery site, so seems well within parameters to get airflight. I'm sure its all buried in the "destination fee of $1125", whether its home delivery (expensive for Tesla!) or you going to a DC...
You do realize the destination fee is required by law?

recommend you better understand why and how that fee is used.
