@Destiny1701 I hear you. I have had zero SC calls on the M3+ (owned for three years) and this new MYP. Over 10 on this Plaid. Aside from the acceleration, it's not worth it, IMHO. YMMV.
Agreed. My S’s had way more issues then a 3SR+ we had. I would have hoped Tesla would have addressed most of them by now.

For some of us veteran S owners, yes seeing the same look and style for 10 yrs is a bit disappointing. When one does a major refresh, you would assume exterior parts from a 10 yr old bin just have to go.

More modern lights front and rear would go along way in making the S actually look like a 2022 departure from 2016..not just bumpers, rear diffuser and blacked out trim. I know it’s a diff suspension and slightly wider fenders..great 👍🏽

Yet I still ordered it for those very reasons…suspension, handling, screens, power, range.
I really hope Tesla reads these forums lol.

Tesla knows. This tail light thing is to get early adopters to trade in their Plaid for a new one, so that their cars don’t look like they are from 2012

And it seems you will take the bait! 😉

I hear that the new tail lights shave 1/2 second off the quarter mile time and extend the range 50 miles. Lol. I need to upgrade the MSLR that I still have picked up yet already.

The appliqué-less hatch design has been in Tesla’s mind for a while. Here’s an S with a different hatch from May 2021. If this hatch is related to the new hatch, we can assume that the new lights will fit the old design, since they used the old lights in the newer hatch (obviously to not hurt demand due to a leak)

Also it’s possible that the new design will use a smaller appliqué to fit that new indented area, they just didn’t tape it on. Makes sense because that test car is using silver wheels, def not a production car

Just saw this on twitter from "Michael Hsu". He posted what seems to be an updated model S that no longer has that stupid strip connecting the tail lights together. This is what I've always wanted for a more cleaner look. Hopefully these go into production before my delivery. Here's to being hopeful.

WOW.
Now THAT looks like a PLAID plus. So they´re coming. Save the best for last. Smackdown for the Nevera.

I have an order for April Delivery. If this starts gaining traction and legitimizes, I’ll wait. I think it’s not an IF but more a WHEN. I’m sure Tesla planned to keep some improvements for 2022 and again 2023…keep refreshing. It’s how they maintain the ‘newness’ year after year.
Don’t care about 4680 for an S with 400 miles. Just went the lights updated to 2022 from 2012…is that too much to ask in a 100k+ car?!
Yes !
