The wall charger was in a box in my car when I picked it up

When they notified me of the delivery time I asked the delivery specialist, it I could pick up the wall charger before to have it installed early. they said I would get it with the car. So when I picked up the car, they had the mobile charger in the boot under the flap and a box with the wall charger on top of the flap. If they did not give you one, they may have forgotten, so get back to them and ask for it. I did use the mobile charger for the first 10 days and it was fine, but once the wall charger got installed, it has been way better as it charges at 32A from my single phase power where the mobile was charging at 8A from the 10A socket. I did get the electrician to add a 15A socket from my solar in the garage also, so I can use the mobile charger to charge at 12A from solar when the sun is out.

It's a pretty chunky cable, it would survive it, but I wouldn't want to do it on a regular basis.
Get a cable channel.

Can't you set the Model 3 to only charge at a nominated Amp through the wall charger?

I can, however the wall charger is connected to controlled load, so I pay way less when using that. Controlled load cannot be connected to solar though.

According to the Sydney Delivery team, there’s a bunch more cars coming in 4 weeks’ time. I guess add a couple of weeks for delivery on top of that, you might get a Christmas present

I agree with this, get a cable channel, the cable is chunky but the communication cables inside the HPWC are fairly fragile.

No the cable will not survive. You'll need a covered safety ramp over the cable or unplug and move the cable each time. If you burn you house down you may be not insured due to not being careful.

If you accidentally run over once while it is not in use, it might survive, but I would not test it. The cable rolls nicely over the wall charger and the end hangs into the side of the wall charger, so I would recommend rolling it up when not in use, and most definitely not driving over it when in use.
If it is placed in a way that a second car would need to drive over it daily, I would suggest having electrician move the charger to a better spot, as in the long run that would be cheaper option than damaging the charger or causing electrical fires.

So I have banged up my new Model 3. Backing out and swung to the right and the front left corner hit a bollard. Ripped off that side of the bumper and other bits and pieces. It is drivable with a bit of duct tape and string, everything seems to be working fine. I have logged a claim with Apia, does anyone have a reccommended repairer in Blackburn VIC area or nearby? They are pointing me to Capital Smart Blackburn who I know AAMI use.

The garage logistics are such that the wife's large Kia Carnival will only fit in one of the three spaces we have - the damn middle one - so was wondering about where to put the wall charger as the middle would have been convenient to charge the Tesla no matter which side of the large car it gets parked, but now I have to choose! My main concern was that if I left the cable running behind the Kia then the wife would almost certainly run over it every day when backing out... Ah well.

Check with Tesla as they accredit body shops and then they have access to the repair systems etc.

Can you put a hook on the ceiling that will hold the charger cable and drop it down vertically to your car?

You can perhaps devise a system that keeps it well clear of the backing wife

My condolences, had a close call reversing out this morning and almost swung into another car (still not 100% there on muscle memory with stalk gear shift), slammed the anchors just in time.

The only time I went close to doing that I got some beeps from the early warning....

Still reversing is busy car parks always has it's challenges.

I am also having issues with the stalk occasionally, it is where my indicators were on the old car... 17 years of habit is hard to unlearn...

In this case, there were no beeps or other warnings before I hit it, perhaps because it was the side of the car that made contact, not the front or back.

Yes, don't think mine gave me any warning other than maybe to briefly flash the orange perimeter on the avatar due to the angle and locations of sensors.

I found it amusing that they require repair shops to work to the same quality standard as Tesla for the quality of fit and finish of panels....

I think most repairers would regard their quality levels as being somewhat better than Tesla's.
