I’d love to hear what they tell you. I’m in the same boat Melb/P3D+/red/black, no vin
Just came from Cremorne. One of the staff there offered to help us out. There is no P3D+/red/black in Australia available. They have to wait for next boat. For this spec, it is some time in October that they are going to contact us, similarly to what @htm7130 mentioned.

Notified them about the upcoming oversea trip as well. Asked and was told wouldn't affect the trade-in offer.

So I hope next couple weeks, I'll get a break from refreshing my account page for hoping that a VIN might show up. It's been unhealthy.

Amazing community service Veda - thank you so much!

However, out of the currently 9,639 post in this thread, two of your posts were the most devastating ones I have read.;)

The first one was when I realised that due to your research, my car could not be on the Cap Capricorn, when I [at the time] hoped that it would be. The other was your recent post when you stated that you did not think that all off the Warrnambool cars could possibly all be derived by 30th September... I currently still have a [tentative] delivery date of 27th September.

Just looking at your latest spreadsheet again, I see that 4882XX is still on "yellow". I had the impression that everyone was getting their cars already, but find it interesting that the 4882XXs as a group are still not quite there yet.

Anyway, no matter which way the dice will fall, I [and I am sure many others here] really appreciate the amount of time you put into collating all the information!
The first 4882xx was registered in nsw today

Hey all,

As promised, here are some pics of the delivery of our Model 3 this morning in Richmond, Melbourne. We got there around 9am and it was already busy with flatbed trucks pulling up and unloading car after car. Showroom was full capacity as well. Delivery time was 10am and we were ushered in by DS and signed off delivery and then got a quick 10min rundown of charging, setting up individual driver profile, controls etc. Pretty quick and standard and any questions outside the norm (how does supercharging billing work?) was met with a polite "you'll need to ask the service team or phone someone and/or read the owners manual". Which was fine by me. All I wanted to do was get the car on the road and get a feel for it. We opted for the deep metallic blue and it pops off the car. We also saw the white, red and black options and they all look simply a class apart.

Now, the fun bit. What a phenomenal drive experience this car is. The cabin inside is spacious at least from the drivers seat, the controls are super easy including the indicator stalk, the reverse and the driving stalk. The big screen on the side of the steering wheel is not a distraction at all. I was at ease driving this car within minutes. We only have the SR+ standard model but the sound was immersive and just incredible to listen to music on the drive back. And oh boy, the acceleration even in the base model is other-worldly and like nothing I have experienced before. It's not ferocious or scary but really smooth and just feels effortless. The only thing that has required getting used to has been when you take your foot of the accelerator. The car noticeably slows down, so recommend you ease off the accelerator slowly rather than taking foot off completely.

The centre console needs a wrap definitely and so does the glass screen as fingerprint marks are noticeable and smudges visible. Took i to Melbourne Museum for a charge and with a type 1 cable already with us, this was an easy process. Turned Sentry mode on remotely with phone, could check up on charging via the app as well. Already had a few people stop dead in their tracks and wave to us and a very excited young dad with toddler couldn't resist hi-fiving me. This car is going to turn heads, there is no doubt about it:)

Stay patient and keep the faith. This is an incredible driving experience and well worth the wait.

Went by Tesla Brisbane to drop off the custom plates today. There were a couple of demo cars parked out front:

...but everyone's seen those. Also there was this car (4429XX VIN) being prepped for delivery around 1:30:

And then on the way back after lunch saw this one (4491XX VIN) being delivered around 2:45:

Seems like they're doing the red ones first.

Told them I'd be happy to take my car now since I was already there and it's already been paid for, but they said that the cars are showing up "literally the day before delivery". Both of the above vehicles were registered yesterday, so seems like that could well be true.

Also tried to buy/order some accessories. Was told you have to call in for that and there's no stock available locally anyways right now.
