Thanks - I think it has something to do with end of quarter supply ramp up not complaints from my side whatsoever!
I got similar service at the end of last quarter. Ordered mine on 26.08, got hidden VIN about a week later, got delivery scheduled call 3 days after that and picked it up on 27.09 so from order to delivery 31 days. Back then I saw a few more get the same experience. It does appear to depend on specific options you ordered, location and who your delivery specialist is who is assigned to you. As there were plenty of less than great experiences for others. I cannot faulty anything in my experience and am very happy. I hope your experience with them will be as good :)

I’ve noticed that with my car it has not updated its speed limits in some areas despite open street maps being correct. Anyone else seeing this?
Well, we tend to get those map updates very rarely. Could it be that at the time the map update was taken, the source had incorrect values. The current update for Australia appears to be 2019.24, that suggest early to middle June 2019 data. the one before was 2018.12 that would have been 2018 March. I suspect for USA and Europe they would distribute updates somewhat more often but we are a low volume, low priority location for them, so I suppose they think 1 update a year is plenty.

Only the source for speed values is "live" from OpenStreetMap while the underlying road map data is Google Maps so its probably a mismatch between the two.

Could you clarify that. Are you saying it pulls the locations of speed limit changes for instance from Google which is embedded in the nav update, but the actual speed limit to use is pulled live from OSM?

Essentially as was my understanding given what I've been told.

However, my daughter's school zone appeared today on the car's navigation but I can't find a conditional speed limit for that school zone on OSM. My son's school zone which I added to OSM this week still does not appear on the screen.

So it is possible that all that talk about Tesla using OSM data might actually be incorrect :)

More, exactly when its used and when its not as appears to be how boundaries are being successfully set for Smart Summon and some speed limits I've altered in OSM for freeway etc seem to have taken effect though this could be coincidental of course. The school zones thing has me stumped though.

Hi guys, I got an email from Tesla in late October about my order (read SR+, Melbourne). A VIN (4734XX) was assigned, and they said delivery would be late November. A few weeks ago I got a call from Tesla saying delivery would be early December.

According to Veda, my VIN was on Synergy Oakland that arrived in Sydney on 16th Nov. However I haven't received an invoice, and no communication from Tesla either.

I'm getting a bit anxious now. Should I get in touch with them, or should I just keep calm and wait?

Cheers.

Takes a couple of weeks to get off the boat and to the dealer. Check with current times with @Vedaprime

I am confused as well. I have changed the speed limits for two areas in OpenStreetMap and a week ago none of them is being picked up.
