The new software update is rubbish. My voice command just do not work now, I was using them a lot for Navigation and music streaming with no issues, the car won’t recognise any commands now. Just hoping a fix comes through soon,

Your hope is misplaced. That's three releases, 40.50.1, 40.50.5 and 40.50.7, all of which don't even work with the limited examples in the release notes. It seems the QA guy is on his or her holidays.

Hmm... that’s weird. I just got back home and with 40.50.5 that was installed while I was away all their voice examples I’ve tried so far seem to work. But very little time with it so far so will reply with an update after more playing around.

The natural language processing is done back end server side not in the car.
This means it can get overloaded over xmas period on a new release - and give variable results.

This update was nothing more than a navigation update which downloads automatically without having to confirm first.

Well, that’s disappointing. It seemed to work well yesterday but voice commands almost never worked today. It just sits there and looks like it “hears” but nothing happens. Could be server problems as you suggest but either way until they get it working better I find it too frustrating to even bother anymore.

As I speak the mic icon pluses like it can hear me
Then it prompts with list of commands as if I've said nothing

I guess voice command must be becoming top notch at swearing by now
