Great idea! Hope more departments follow suit. They also need to add the surveillance system to each Tesla. It has LPRs and facial recognition from the onboard cameras.

Great idea but I wonder how often they'll need to charge the battery? I'm assuming every day considering the amount of miles an officer may travel per his/her shift. Not to mention the power needed to run either the A/C or heating depending on the season(s). All those things will play a huge factor in battery life per charge cycle.

Nope, the price they listed matches a SR+ and I doubt that Tesla sold them a LR for the price of a SR+.
