    One thing that I was thinking is that a Roadster nose might take cues from the Model 3 instead... something a kin to this Model S evolution...

    So the full tesla line-up of cars would be S3XYR than the competition? (sexier?)

    Frankly, I don't think second-gen Roadster would be called Model R. I think it will be Roadster. The name is a homage and sort of legendary. They will want to play off that.

    Besides, Elon has suggested a change of naming scheme after Model Y...

    Yeah, I think they've lost the black T at the front of the cars now. I think the future cars will have an embossed badge on top of the frunk, just like the Model 3.

    Or at least smaller cars... which Roadster would likely be...

    That said, any design language can go through several changes between now and eventual Roadster second-gen...

    What a great second post! The front end looks great already and I prefer it to the 3 though, as others mentioned, might be good comparison with the 3 front. Looks fabulous and hope Tesla do something half as striking! :)
