Congrats! I loved how that car had everything one really needs and nothing extraneous (imo). I'd be impatient to get it; why don't you reach out to your local Tesla showroom about it?

They will most likely email you before they call you. But the SC that has you car knows that you have placed your dep. That goes out to many people as soon as you pay your dep.

I paid about $114K for my P85. So after California rebates that would be $104K. After sixty days and 3200 miles Tesla offered me $95K if I wanted to trade it in for a P85D. This was about a year ago. So at least at the time the vehicles weren't losing value quite as fast as you say.

You got a good offer, as you bought a new P85D from them. Trade-in values are not the market prices. Did you try selling it to someone else or to Tesla without buying a new one? Here is a 2014 P85 (P40532) with 6760 miles listed for $65k. What you got seems pretty good compared to what these are selling for now.

Yes. With the new sensors on the AP-capable cars, all cars (from then on) got parking sensors, emergency braking, and side collision/blind spot warning.

Mid-2013, Parkig Sensors were a separate option. Sept. 2014 (introduction of AutoPilot), the Tech Package activated AutoPilot, but even cars without the tech package have the sensors. I do not know if the parking sensors software is active for these cars. Sometime in 2015 the tech package was disbanded and parking sensors definitely come on all cars.

I got an email this morning, looks like I have a 3 week wait for the my CPO Tesla.

"Your delivery specialist will be reaching out to you for additional information and delivery logistics. Right now we’re expecting about an early February delivery time frame due to the back up with Tesla Service. We will be reinspecting, refurbishing, and detailing the vehicle up to our standards."

I have not heard from my DS yet buy mytesla has been updated to "in transit" on my car which is finally some progress! I also just got the payment request email and the purchase agreement is now showing an estimated delivery date of 1/22. So that would be 5 weeks from order for me.

Question on payment, I think I want to hold off on payment until I see and inspect the car correct? Can I bring a check to the delivery? How did others do it?

Yes, I brought a personal check at delivery.

Well, I bit the bullet and placed an order tonight. I blame Hank and his site.

P85+ with rear seats. Mid 50's. Higher than average mileage but with the warranty not super concerning. Excited/nervous/shocked right now...

I inspected mine today at Dallas SC. There were a few things on the nose cone and bumper that I was told will be replaced. Dark blue hides all those blemishes. Interestingly the work was supposed to have been done in PaloAlto from where it was shipped but they passed it to Dallas SC because they are busy.

Dallas SC looked very busy what with two X deliveries when I was there. They have done 6 X deliveries so far.

Interesting. My car is at the Fremont SC (factory). I expect they will do the reconditioning there, or at least thats what the sales agent said on the phone.

When I was in at the Orlando location two weeks ago they had 3 X's they were prepping for delivery.

Thanks Hank! I actually just noticed your avatar. Is that your true plate? I am not one to name cars but the Product Specialist noted that there is a name assigned to the car. I was going to go with Gigawatt. Restored a DeLorean and had it for 8 years. My avatar is the drive back from picking it up in 2003.

I would assume reserving. My car was immediately gone from Teslas site, and gone from Hanks site as soon as I refreshed a few minutes later. If you have Hanks history package you can see when it's probably Tesla removing as they seem to do a handful in bulk which the site tracks as the same removal time.
