Tesla Model S Driver Door window doesn't rise up

Hi, I have a 2014 Model S P85 that I like very much, but recently I have had this issue where my driver's door window will not rise after closing the door. I have read online that the motor needs recalibration by holding the window up for a few seconds until a clicking noise, then pulling the window down for a few seconds, and then raising it again until it clicks back. After this recalibration procedure, the window works great as normal after I close the door it raises. Here is the problem... the window motor gets decalibrated every day, sometimes twice a day, so I have to do the calibration procedure every single time before exiting the car... I did ask Tesla about it, but they asked to pay $220 just for the inspection... So I wanted to see if you guys anyone had the same issue, what was the problem, and how it got fixed.
P.S. I did replace the window buttons with new ones in the hope of fixing the issue, but nothing changed.
Please help, thanks in advance!

Thank you for bringing this up. I've had my 2015 P85D for about 8 months. I didn't notice this when I first got it, and not sure when it started...
Now when I exit the car, the window parks itself all the way up about half the time. I find I have to re-enter the car, sit in the seat, close the door, and roll it up, then exit. Most of the time it will go to the top. As per your re calibrate suggestion, I hear no clicks and nothing changes.

However, I have recently tried putting the car in park, rolling the window down a bit, then all the way up, then exiting. This seems to work so far...
I hope someone comes up with a REAL answer...

Finished my hitch and wiring so I was ready to start with this door/window issue, stated in post #2 above. In addition to that:

Just before I did anything, surprise surprise, I found the driver's window switch does nothing (the driver's window is "permanently" at its 1 inch down position).
The rest of the windows operate normally from the driver's door switches.
Also the driver's exterior door handle doesn't "present" at all anymore (apparently dead).
I have removed the door trim and hooked up the window switches, plus a switch to release the door from the inside (accessible from the driver's seat and inside the rear door.

I tried to find a point where I could disconnect the door harness from the car, but failed. Next I will pull the speaker and see if I can find bad wires somewhere.

I sure would like to disconnect the harness from the car and pull the end of the door harness thru the speaker opening and do a proper inspection/repair...

I have the same broken wires problem. Mobile tech coming in a week to replace wiring harness. Has anyone found a good thread that addresses this issue? Not sure what the title should be, since the symptoms are numerous. I found the information on a thread about defective handles, but I think we need something more specific to broken wiring harness.

Success!

The issues mentioned in my post #11 above seem to be fixed now. I did manage to disconnect the 6 or so connections at the body end of the door harness, and draw them, and the rubber tube, back and through the door speaker hole. I found 2 wires completely separated and one almost cut through. I crimped the wires and wrapped it all with "old school" self adhesive electrical tape. This made the harness difficult to feed through the tube, so I would recommend soldering and heat shrink instead.
