Well, these Sharpie oil-based paint pens are coming in handy! First colored the TESLA letters on the rear chrome in black (thanks to aaron.s's inspiration), now I've made the Tesla floor mats much nicer just by coloring the T with a red pen. These are Sharpie Medium Oil-Based Paint Pens (available on Amazon) -- not standard Sharpie ink pens. What do you think. I am disappointed that the rear mat from Tesla has no logo though. Here's before and after:
I like the red especially well. How tall is the logo? You must have a very steady hand -- that's quite a nice treatment -- the red looks like it was embroidered. I'll let you do mine I am disappointed that the rear mat from Tesla has no logo though.
You have multiple crumbs in your piping, time to put the sharpie up and vacuum I have a plan for my (Lloyd's) mats too, with a couple of Tesla keyrings that I've got, just need to find the time to get creative....
That is awesome. I was disappointed that Tesla used such a dark thread to embroider the Tesla T. Definitely will consider doing this. How's it holding up?
Which floor mats are these? Mine doesn't have the Tesla logo on them. I even checked the other cars in the showroom and they didn't have the logo either. Is this only on signature series?
I was wondering the same. My November 2013 mats have no logo (anyone want them? free locally to a good home). I replaced them with better mats.
I think these are the premium mats which are no longer available on the store. I ordered mine in May 2013 (or so) and they have the logo.
Darn. I have the black performance interior and wanted to do the Sharpie treatment. I wonder why they aren't selling them anymore. The standard ones are so cheap looking.
