I was towing a camper trailer a very short distance with my MX in order to back it into a new preferred parking spot. The trailer hitch got stuck to the ball mount and would not come off. When I went to jack up the front of the trailer hitch, it lifted up the back of the MX as well. The rear tires were off the ground and the car entered into Jack mode. I eventually was able to free the trailer hitch from the ball mount and my MX is perfectly fine, but I thought that the hitch makes an interesting jack point. Not recommended though.

Why should do the Model X be set in the lowest mode and Model S in the highest mode before putting it into jack mode?

Can 4 of these be used to lift the entire car up? In one of the videos, the pads don't look like they're down far enough to clear the battery pack.

Yes they are used in many tire shops around the world with drive in lifts and two post lifts.
