I think folks fancy driving cross-country, but few do it. In any event, https://www.electrifyamerica.com has a good nationwide network, with other providers filling in the gap so that there will be many options that rival the Tesla coverage.

I can now drive from Denver to San Diego with plenty of superchargers. Tesla doesn't have the only option for cross-country now.

Regardless, competition is good for the consumer and will just make the products better and more competitive!!

Still plenty of dead areas for fast DC car charging. Nothing in the UP of Michigan for starters.

It's really too bad we can't use CCS. More chargers are needed, and EA doesn't do Tesla owners in the US any good, or vise-versa.

There is a 50KW Chademo adapter that I have, but have never used. Tesla has CSS adapters for Europe (different connector) that would be simple to release here too. I think the regulators forced that there.

Tesla seems to like proprietary vertical integration without support of industry standards like Android Auto / Apple Carplay for Nav. You can bet they will move to their satellite data from Space X once that is up and running so they can drop cellular. They make Tequila, surf boards, flame throwers too. World domination . . .
