How much does a Golf cost in Norway compared to a base Model S? Aren't they similar in price when you include all the taxes etc. ?

    Not quite.

A typical Golf costs in the area of 40-50k USD (though the most expensive ones with over 200 hp can cost over 80k). A Model S costs 75-121k USD.

Of course, you'll probably spend 30k more on gas for 150k miles than electricity, so a 60 kWh Model S can actually be cheaper than a Golf, TCO.
