Since Tesla Motors Inc. changed its name to Tesla Inc., I think TMC needs a name change as well and a new logo to match.
Just say'n.

TMC is my Facebook (I don't have a FB account or any other social networking account other than Linked In which I view a few times per year). TMC is awesome, no question.

There is one good Canadian example of a company that kept is roots in its name. Canadian Tire & Garage (1922) now Canadian Tire (since 1934) still has large full service garages and now sells just about everything but clothing (the have Mark's Work Warehouse for that), books, jewelry and food. When most youth think of Canadian Tire today, there are not thinking tires. They think appliances, sporting equipment, lawn and garden, seasonal goods and automotive parts. Their store formats at 100,000sf to 150,000sf (Walmart size).

I like the name: "Tesla Motor Club"
This remind me: "British Motor Club"

The logo is inspired from the Tesla logo,
so I don't see anything wrong.
