Today on foxnews.com TMC got a mention...a click on the link they used takes you to Doug_G's posting about the Model X invitation.

Yeah, I often see TMC being mentioned in articles. It's a great source of information.

That was actually a fairly straightforward report on Foxnews.com about Tesla.

Yikes! At least it was a positive article. Glad to do my bit to promote Tesla...

TMC may not be the official Tesla forums in name, but they pretty much are in practice. The knowledge level is tremendous and any links to articles, rumors, and pictures all seem to show up here first.

Indeed. I saw that the owner of FiskerBuzz made a new Tesla forum, and I just thought: "why?". It's not like there will be any information there that will not be here.

Apparently our Model S' will be temperamental:

I'm sure Fox just got the story from AutoblogGreen.
ABG often gets stories from us and if Domenick wrote it, he has the courtesy to credit us in the body of the article. Here, Fox likely got the story from Autoblog and did the standard blogger thing of not bothering to credit intermediate sources.

Very odd. I just went and looked at it. Someone went to a lot of work to create that newTesla forum - for no reason, as far as I'm concerned. Just odd.

Especially when some of the posts are just direct rips of content already here:

Also, did I read recently that Bluestar was a name made up here, and isn't Tesla's official name for the vehicle?

I'll take credit for the name Bluestar but that was back in the days of Tesla's owner's only forum, pre TMC.

Just curious, is it Whitestar for white collar and Bluestar for blue color, or is that just coincidence?

The Roadster's secret code name was "Darkstar" all other names were made up by us.

IIRC, Tesla calls Bluestar "Gen III" (or is it that we call Gen III "Bluestar"?)

I'll contact them for that blatant copy of my compilation work.

And, of course, updates will be on TMC only.
