I was told by Montreal staff that they still didn't know whether it would be $1000 CDN or adjusted for exchange. Even if they did factor in exchange it would be less than $1400 CDN, still very much a bargain compared to previous reservations.

Update: Just got off the phone with the Montreal store, they say the overnight attendance will definitely be "BIG" (their emphasis, not mine) numbering into the hundreds. If you want to be near the front they recommend you arrive early morning on the 30th, if not before. Apparently there will be more information available in the next 3 - 4 days.

My understanding is that Tesla's booth in the mall was only under contract which is now expired.

It is not the booth anymore, it seems we will have (or already do) a store on Charest according to the map on Tesla website. Yet there is only a phone number and no store sign visible (I pass there everyday)

There's a guy who camped out for 18 days for Apple product.

Ok! That may be an extreme example from Sydney but how about 6 or 7 New Yorkers waiting in line on 9/5/2014 and Apple wouldn't unveil the product until 9/9/2014 and launched on 9/19/2014. That's 2 weeks and GM refused to let them to have a tent.

Was going to go in the evening on the 30th. Now I'm thinking I may have to go in the morning....
