So I recently heard from Travis Kalanick the case about why ride sharing is just a great idea :

On average people use their car 4% of the day, 96% of the day it is stored. And 20% of our lands (urban) is used to store the cars.

reduces traffic? Reducing the cost and increasing the convenience of private transportation will increase traffic.

There are lots of people already planning to buy Model 3 to share on Tesla Network 100%.
If the math works out, it might be profitable to share your 'spare' car on the TN which would easily pay for itself, electricity, and maintenance.

While I don't expect to share my car on the Tesla Network, I will probably end up being a customer of it instead of buying a new Tesla.

Longer term, you wouldn't make much money. Supply and demand. Just like Uber drivers.

Just keeping this thread updated as a sort of timeline log of the concept of the Tesla Network, so that when it is in fact up and running (no, it's not going to be by the end of 2020) but it will be some day we can go back and check the timeline.
