Nice, but this would have been good to know 3 months ago before I dropped $130. And if the mats take as long as the rear spoiler, perhaps they'll arrive by xmas...
Hmm, Twitter sez that status update from Elon doesn't exist: "Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!" Going to Elon's Twitter, the most recent tweet I see is from the 12th. I see David Zhao's tweets about this but showing the "conversation" shows no replies from Elon. So is this for real? (I know little about Twitter--just that none of these supposed Elon comments about floor mats are visible to me.)
I saw the updates when I first looked and I don't see them now, so methinks he deleted them. Too quick on the trigger? Someone talked him out of it? He just likes messing with the forums?
Pics, or it didn't... I don't see it either. Define "good" though; the fronts were super wimpy; I like the Lloyd's all-weather ones a lot better.
I would expect the included rear to match the fronts so those that bought the premium rear have something better. Guess we will find out soon if this is going to actually happen.
I just bought and received mine last week (I'm still waiting on my car). So, if they do come with and are decent quality, I wonder if Tesla will take the ones I bought back. It's still in the shipping box, as I havent had reason to open it yet. I'm hoping I can just return it to the local store for refund. Wonder if there is a "restocking fee".
Meh, unless they let you select a carpet color other than black, I'm fine sticking with the red ones I got from Lloyd's, which are also thicker than the factory mats in the front. Not sure if they are more durable or not, as the Lloyd's mat on the driver side after about 9k miles is starting to show pretty noticeable matting around where my right heel rests. Mind you, I don't exactly baby my Model S interior or exterior, so I may be causing atypical wear from not always taking out the 3rd party carpet mats to expose the 3rd party rubber mats below when out hiking.
No, it's just that we're seeing diff things; the most recent tweets I see on twitter.com for him are these two (shrug).... - - - Updated - - - Yeah, I think like Banahogg said, maybe he jumped the gun.
