i use the frunk 100% of the time, unless the item is too big to fit in the frunk. i rarely use my trunk the 13 months i have had my model 3. i never thought i would use the frunk that much when i first got my model 3 too.

Just followed up with TO since I ordered my kit on 1/21 and haven’t had any further notifications on status. Reached out through WhatsApp and they said the next batch will be shipping Monday.

I was wondering why so many people's orders were backed up but my Wednesday order is due Monday, but I'm guessing the delay is with frunks and not trunks.

another install tip: When doing your re-install of your frunk/panels, make absolutely sure your thick rubber trim piece that goes around the perimeter of your frunk tub, is pressed down fully/securely into place. Make sure all of the plastic panels are snapped snugly. Failing to do so can potentially cause the lid to not snap down fully or be misaligned/sitting up a bit.

everything seems to be working, not sure if this is normal. i can open the frunk from the touchscreen in the car, but can't close it from the touchscreen. the frunk button says open and is grayed out.

from the app i can open and close the frunk with no problem.

i have a model 3 in case that matters

I installed in my S, so may not apply to the Y, but on the S I can open/close from screen, app, and using the Stats app, I can also open/close via Siri.

accidentally broke one of the frunk clip when putting the frunk back in. anyone have any idea how to remove the broken clip, so i can install a new clip when i get one? i even try to remove one of the clips not broken, and i can't figure it out.

i don't have homelink, so i can't close it using the touchscreen. only way it would seem to use the touchscreen is signal injection method. I emailed TO, so we will see what he says.

Where did you find new clips? I broke 2.
