Tesla OK in HOV Nevada?

i can't seem to find any guidance in the Nevada law books and such about EVs and HOV lanes. I know they don't do the "ok" stickers here.

IANAL but it looks like according to their laws, as long as you have a qualified vehicle, you can use the lane in Nevada. There does not appear to be a permit/sticker requirement.

This is in stark contrast to California, where you MUST have the stickers displayed and CAV registration onboard, so out of state vehicles do not qualify at all.

Thanks chillaban! I looked through all that legal-ese and see where you refer to EVs and HOV lanes. Since I'm no lawyer, is that paragraph saying it's legal for an EV to drive in he HOV?

It basically sounds like they've granted DOT permission to make such a law. Am I missing something. Thanks and sorry for the confusion.

Exactly. There is no exemption for EV's.

• A vehicle with 2+ passengers may travel in an HOV lane
