Tesla owner configurations begin

Model S owner since 2012, online order just prior to reveal on 3/31. Logged on to my Tesla at 530p, and saw that configuration available... Confirmed order, and then received email to configure at 6p!

I got my invitation to configure today. I was a 3/31 reservation, but I made the reservation online after the reveal event was over, probably like 10:00 PM Pacific Time. Current owner in CA.

I have not configured, we want the white interior...

Received my invite to configure my Model 3 yesterday. Opting to hold until the dual motor version is available, in the Spring. Still exciting!

Questions for the experts out there:

Are the UMC for the Model 3 and 2014 Model S interchangeable? I see where the 3 has a sort of pigtail construction. I ask because we are thinking of keeping the Model S UMC in the car for road trips and alternating using the Model 3 UMC for home charging.

What about the telephone app that connects with the car? Will the app know which Tesla that I wish to connect to? Or is there a dedicated app for each car?

What about the cell phone connection inside the car? Will I have to disconnect/connect/reconnect each time that I switch vehicles?

We received our invitation yesterday, and we are concerned about these items. We might have more questions once we take delivery.

Both will work for both cars but they are different in the way they take outlet attachments. You will need to keep the plugs with the original charger cable.

It asks if you are paying cash, financing or (IIRC) leasing. I indicated financing, and it asked if it was outside lender or Tesla. I answered Tesla. The status on the build page says "Pending" for finance, and "pending" for trade-in.

I don't think there is consensus on when the Tesla tax credit eligibility is projected to end due to Tesla hitting that 200,000 mark. Some experts thought the number might be reached as late as Q218. In my math, relying on third party data, I thought it could get met this quarter.

Anyone else getting errors accessing the tracking spreadsheet:

I had the same problem. I tried to contact the owner but have not received a reply.
Thought that sheet was very useful for those of us who are still not so patiently waiting.
I can setup another sheet but want to make sure I'm not stepping on anyone's toes.

There is no chance of this quarter. Remember, only US sales count.

My configuration page lists the Standard Battery in Early '18, and the Dual Motor in Spring '18 ... add six months for Elon time

I believe this means that if you have multiple Teslas, they can all be controlled by the phone app. On the screen with the picture of your car, you swipe the car to one side to access the other car(s). See this:

This is correct. It also swipes to your energy products.
