Up for sale is a 2012 Tesla P85 with almost 90k miles. The car does have a rebuilt title but has been fully repaired and in working condition including superchargering working the only thing that isn’t 100% fixed is the charge port as it isn’t closing but still works. This car was mine when the accident occurred and has always been a car with very few problems. If you have any further questions fell free to reach out to me. The car is black with a tan performance interior with carbon fibrer decor and spoiler. It has air suspension and the rear facing seats along with dual chargers. I’m open to offers but I’m looking for $31,500. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions.

Where is the car located? Does it have LTE? What other options are available?
The car has dual chargers, tan performance interior, air suspension, carbon fiber decor and spoiler, rear facing seats which if you don’t want can be taken out and I’ve seen many people want to buy them for around $1,500. I also got navigation retrofitted for around 3.5k before the accident and yes LTE was also retrofitted.

Tesla re-certified? No bubbles on screen? Last time serviced/worked on? Contactors replaced in main battery or traction battery replacement? Extent of damage repair?

Good questions. Listing all service center warranty repairs and maintenance is important.

It will be worth it to get this car Tesla certified if possible and fix the charge port door so it closes. A buyer would have much more confidence knowing Tesla will work on the car. Also, you, the current owner will get better service from Tesla on recertification since presumably you’ve been a customer for a while.

GLWS!

Tesla has not re-certified the car as I don’t think it’s worth it to at the price and being able to work on most things of the car and having a tesla mechanic that I know. There are no bubbles on the screen which is actually the updated MCU which I got when retrofitting navigation. The contactos haven’t been replaced as the best of my knowledge but it was a CPO I bought in 2015 so I’m not sure. If you would like to pm me your phone number I can give you some before and after pictures but the left quarter panel, right fender and right side doors were replaced and the right quarter panel and driver side rear door were repaired.

I just don’t think going through the hassle and the cost of recertification is worth it especially at the price I’m selling for. Thanks for your feedback though.

Why has only 1,000 miles been put on the car since February 21, 2017? I assume the repair didn't take a full 18 months. Are the pictures from before the accident or after the repair?
Actually the repair did take that long I can’t upload the title it was registered in June 2018 and still hadn’t been completed so it was actually about mid June when I was able to drive it. Below are the pictures of the car right after the accident. The pictures above or from after the repair.

How many miles on full charge? What is current version of software? I am a little worried that when the car changes owners and a new account is opened with Tesla when I.D. and car title are registered, that they may disable supercharging and support because of branded title. I have also been informed by another member that disabling also makes it impossible to use chademo adapter to charge at fast/quick L3 stations too as well as superchargers. What do we know?

The full charge is 249 miles. The current software is the latest 8.1 which includes the newest beta navigation and this software update came in a couple days ago. I don't believe that the status of supercharging or software updates will change if the ownership changes as they already found out that the car is salvage and took it off of my mytesla account.

Why did you decide not to keep it? Also, why do you believe they will not stop the supercharging/chademo and vehicle updates and what do you base that on? The accident didn't get into any of the pillars? Was there any frame welding? If this car were to be re-certified, do you believe this is a restoration that will pass?

Get it recertified. Add that cost to $31k. You’ll sell it easily.

I was planning on having my wife drive it but she doesn’t want it anymore. I don’t belive they will stop the supercharging or any of that because they know it’s salvage in their system and took it off of tesla’s network so if they were to take away supercharging I believe that they would of done it already. The accident didn’t involve any of the frame, I think that this will pass but I’m not sure about the charge port as it doesn’t close but if you were to replace that it should pass.
