So last October, I changed the 18” Aero wheels on my 71 plate car for replica 19” Sports wheels from Greendrive. When the tyres were fitted by ATS, the guy also fitted the Tesla TPMS sensors I had bought directly from Tesla.
A couple of days ago a warning popped up saying there was a TPMS error but it might clear next drive. I’ve admittedly not been for a long drive since and just been for a couple of drives about town but the message hasn’t disappeared.
In anticipation of contacting my local Tesla SC, I’m not anticipating any issue with them if it’s a faulty sensor but was just wondering if they’re likely to get awkward about the non Tesla wheels and basically say I’ll have to arrange removal of the TPMS sensor and re-fitting of the new one.
