I think Tesla is missing a great opportunity, small towns could have electric police cars. Build simple cars ( 4 door econo boxes) for local dept. I think small towns would jump at the chance to buy a $70,000 car and a charger. Just think how much gas they would save in a year. :frown:

I was talking to a Harley guy the other day. He told me police departments are switching to electric motorcycles for just that reason. When you spend the majority of your time just idling and wasting fuel, it is a no brainer. I think it is just a matter of time.
