Well that's one positive article for the thousands of negative ones... I'm always amazed that a company can meet or exceed all it's predictions, and still loose almost 10% of it's share price on announcing it...
Nothing new on the battery factory? In my travels I have listened to people from NV, AZ, and CO and all were convinced the new factory would be in their state. The best comments came from people in NV, perhaps in the Reno area. None of these states have water but Reno is happy to push casinos aside for tech businesses and is close to Tesla operations in California (which really doesn't have any water). My state AZ has good highway connections but extreme anti-progress legislature or else they are corrupt and already owned by car dealers. I thought there was going to be an announcement in June so I am disappointed there hasn't been news.
Reno makes the most sense to me. Probably a good enough area to attract a tech workforce, no state income taxes, plenty of space, fairly close to the Fremont factory.
Wsj is reporting that California is being seriously considered... My theory is that this is causing the delay in the announcement
