Tesla props up Twitter purchase

Musk has 50 people from the FSD team now working on Twitter software. The FSD team has about 200-300 people working on FSD software and ~100 working on hardware, and 500 or so “labelers” (who seem to be code documentation people). Some of these numbers are from 2019 so may be different today.

So somewhere in the neighborhood of 1/20 to 1/4 of the FSD team is now involved in Twitter.

Musk dumped ~$4B of Tesla stock for funds to support the Twitter purchase. The stock price ($189/share) is less than 50% of the past year’s high. The $4B stock sale probably didn’t help.

It looks as if the Twitter purchase is a distraction for Musk, a drain on Tesla’s FSD resources, and may have a depressing effect on Tesla’s stock price. I hope I’m wrong but I think Twitter is going to continue to tank so I’d imagine more and more will be taken from Tesla to try to prop up Twitter’s slide.

Just wait until Elon flips it around and puts the one remaining Twitter engineer to work at Tesla. They’ll be responsible to implement a feature that your car won’t start unless you tweet positive affirmations to Musk.

You know his ego needs positive affirmations or else he becomes a petulant 2 year old who missed his nap.

I strongly suspect Musk is commingling funds between his companies, which is illegal, if proven. Since Tesla is a profit center, its shareholders may unwittingly be funding Musk's losing ventures. I view Elon Musk as an unkempt cross between Albert Einstein and Bernie Madoff.
